Your city's economic power?
According to the American magazine Fortune (CNN), the world's economic capital is (not very surprising): TOKYO!
Followed by: Paris, New York, and London...
Check out the site: http://money.cnn.com/magazines/fortu...0/2006/cities/
Please post your city's GDP, office square meter figures, and all economic information.>

Why Is Washington So Un-Important?
I was thinking, all of the more influential and important cities in the world are capitals, such as Paris, London, Berlin. Tokyo Etc
This makes sense because every country wants their capital to be the prime economic, cultural, and intellectual center so they can impress foreigners. Why is it that the capital of the most powerful country by far (USA) Washington is so weak compared to other capital cities?>

Nokia Flagship Store-Mexico City... State-of-the-art Interior Design
Nokia opened its 6th Flagship Store in Mexico City earlier this year at the luxurious mall Antara Polanco.
The Nokia Flagship Store around the world have been the latest on interior desing and marketing being a place design for customer interactiveness.
Nokia Flagship Stores are present in New York, Moscow, Chicago, Hong Kong, Helsinki and now Mexico City.
The design of the stores is atonishing, but it is the same in every store. In my taste, it'd be much better if every store had a particular design to easily identify it.
This is the Mexico City one:
Someone who lends me $18,000.00 to buy a new Vertu?...

What are you opinions about the design?>

What city would you rather live in?
As this forum attracts both skyscraper-only and urban enthusiasts, I am curious to know:
-If you would rather live in a city with a vibrant dowtown, full of skyscrapers but with the rest of the city being mostly single family homes. The stereotypical north american city.
-Or the stereotypical European city, with zero skyscrapers and tall buildings, but with all the urban area being made of dense, four or five stories buildings.>

Times Square Military Recruitment Center
In Times Square, New York City, often proclaimed the "Center of the World", also plays host to the U.S.'s Armed Forces Recruitment Center (pictured).
But should politics and the military be seen by every visitor to Times Square? Is the American government attempting to show off its military might? Many people say that this gives visitors a WRONG impression of the US, in particular NYC. It also blocks spectators from taking pics of TS or watching the ball drop during New Year's.
Does the Armed Forces Recruitment Center belong in Times Square or should it be moved?>
